Site Foreperson (UK OFFICE)

Herbosch-Kiere Marine Contractors Ltd is part of an International Construction Company providing services across the Marine Civil Engineering and Offshore sector. We are looking to employ on a 12 month temporary contract a Site Foreperson with suitable experience of working within the Marine Construction Industry to work from our current project in Dagenham, London.

The role will involve supporting the Site Manager in day to day site supervision as well as hands on tasks and activities on site. This is very much a hands on role and will involve supervision of other labour when required and carrying out some tasks directly on site.

 Ideally, you will:

• have at least 3 years previous experience of construction/engineering
• have a good understanding of construction activities involving steel erection, concrete works and lifting equipment
• hold some knowledge of the marine construction industry
• have an understanding of HSE standards, regulations, reporting procedures, risk assessment and method statement requirements
• be computer literate and be able to operate Microsoft Word and Excel
• be able to work proactively within the team
• hold a rough terrain / telehandler licence

you should:

• be a team player
• hold a full UK driving license
• hold a slinger/ signaller qualification/ card
• be adaptable enough to deal with a large range of site issues including liaison with clients engineers and supervisors, subcontractors and direct workforce
• be a natural problem solver
• be self motivated and work well under pressure
