CMOS Installer lays two submarine power cables in Senegal

Under the Senegalese sun, intense work is taking place behind the scenes on a remarkable offshore project: the installation of two 225 kV submarine power cables between Cap des Biches and Bel Air. Both cables, each 16 kilometers long, have now been successfully laid – a major milestone in the project for MCA-Sénégal II.

Together with our partner Enshore Subsea, we installed the cables using our shared cable-laying vessel, the CMOS Installer. This project is part of the broader Senegal Power Compact and was deliberately designed with sustainability in mind. By working offshore, we minimize environmental impact and avoid disruptions on land.

With this step, we are contributing to a more stable and future-proof power supply for Dakar.
