Sustainability

Herbosch-Kiere attaches great importance to its role as a sustainable company. It goes without saying that we strive to achieve the highest possible level of quality in everything we do and therefore always do our utmost to help the planet and people where necessary.

People

We are proud of our people. They are the driving force behind Herbosch-Kiere and therefore we want to take good care of them. Throughout the year, we organise activities to foster a positive work environment and promote the well-being of our employees. Sports activities, team-building exercises, family days, education and training, but also simply getting together for a drink on a Friday. Our colleagues in Kallo can also enjoy fresh soup or fresh fruit from our fruit basket that is generously replenished every day.

Safety

Safety is of paramount importance to us. Every day we strive for the highest level of safety at our sites and on board vessels and achieve it through clear and structured communication. Our employees are encouraged to complete the safety training required, all year round. We apply strict safety measures which are constantly reiterated at meetings and in our internal newsletters. That way, first and foremost we learn to prevent accidents and, in the event of an emergency, to get not only ourselves but also our colleagues to safety.

CO2

The effects of global warming are being felt all over the world. Herbosch-Kiere wants to play an active role in the fight against these changes. We take numerous initiatives to reduce our ecological footprint, both in the office, at our sites and on board our vessels. Achieving CO2 performance ladder level 4 is proof that we practice what we preach.

One of our measures to reduce CO2 is the purchase of 100% green electricity from Belgium, for which we have received a certificate.

Quality

Herbosch-Kiere wants to be transparent and reliable, with quality as the result. In order to achieve this, we analyse, measure and improve our processes continuously. There is a high level of quality awareness among our people who focus on the predetermined requirements of our customers.

Our commitment to quality, health, safety and the environment is set out in our QHSE policy which is supported by the following certificates: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, VCA-P, Achilles and CO2 Performance ladder level 3.

Corporate Social Responsibility

As a successful company, we can and want to help make the world a better place. We show our commitment to people and the planet by organising and supporting various charities. Besides making numerous financial donations to NGOs, student associations, sporting events and local initiatives, we organise an annual Solidarity Week together with Eiffage Benelux. During that week, our employees show that they are ready to roll up their sleeves for a good cause by getting involved in activities such as litter picking on the beach, cooking for underprivileged families and doing jobs for charities.
