Digue Carnot

The Carnot dyke at the Port of Boulogne-sur-Mer is 3 km long and plays an important role in protecting residents and users of the port. The last time repairs were carried out was almost 20 years ago and the dyke was in urgent need of renovation. Herbosch-Kiere, together with Eiffage Genie Civil and ETMF, took care of those works.

Herbosch-Kiere was responsible for dumping the rocks and stones. We dumped 500 concrete blocks weighing 50 and 33 tons using the ATLANTIS and AM 11320. In addition, 88 boulders weighing 6 to 10 tons were taken from the beach and placed on the dyke in order to strengthen its foundations.
