On behalf of ETMF (Eiffage Travaux Maritime et Fluviaux), Herbosch-Kiere dredged +- 11 500m³ of sand around the construction of a new Ro-Ro for the Dunkirk-Dover ferry terminal. Our spud pole pontoon Waasland, equipped with a Caterpillar 390 Triple boom, and our splitting barge Otter were used for this. The difficulty of the works here was dredging up to against and between the tubular piles foundation of the Ro-Ro and the tidal action.
