Holes at the bottom of the Eastern Scheldt were putting the safety and stability of the Eastern Scheldt barrier at risk.
Because of that, Herbosch-Kiere was awarded the contract to fill the holes with rocks. Stonedumping vessel ATLANTIS dumped 2,500 tons of rubble weighing 10-60 kg and 15,000 tons of steel slag measuring 45-180 mm on the eastern and western side of the barrier. Our crane vessel ALBATROS took care of the transshipment.
