Herbosch-Kiere donates 5000 euros to charity
As is customary, during the Christmas period, Herbosch-Kiere has donated a cheque for five thousand euros to charity.
This year our donation has gone to LUCIA VZW, an organization that is committed to the fight against child poverty. Much needed in these times because more than ever, poverty is hitting hard within Belgium.
Benny De Sutter, CEO Herbosch-Kiere:
“We have been donating the amount that used to be provided for business gifts to charity for several years. In this way we help organizations that are committed to a better society. We are very happy that LUCIAÂ can use the money to better feed, clothe, house, care for and support children in poverty in their first years of life that are so crucial for their development.”

“Thanks to your donation, LUCIAÂ will be able to meet the basic needs of dozens of young children in Antwerp. Because yes, in our prosperous province, one in six children grows up in poverty. For many of them, parents have to search daily where they can get some food and clothing. Others live in appalling conditions and are happy that LUCIAÂ can give them a bed and bedding. Also for necessary medical care there is often no money. With this gift we bring a ray of light into the lives of young children.”
